OPERATIONS
Before You Begin
Inspect angle grinder before use. The
grinding wheel must be free of cracks,
chips and breaks. If there are any signs of
damage, discard the grinding wheel and
replace immediately.
The Model G9911 was specifically
designed for cutting, grinding and
polishing. Do not modify and/or use
this machine for any other purpose.
Modifications or improper use of
this tool will void the warranty. If you
are confused about any aspect of
this machine, DO NOT use it until
you have answered all your ques-
tions. Serious personal injury may
occur.
Using Your Tool
Use extreme caution when operating this
tool. Always be aware of your surrounding
working area. Be sure to wear appropriate
eye protection and be sure to work at a
safe distance from others in the area.
Be sure to use the appropriate abrasive
and cutting wheels with this grinder. Use
only specified grinding wheels. The wheels
used by this grinder must be reinforced
fiber resin, with a safety linear velocity not
lower than 6,200 RPM.
Operating this equipment has the
potential for flying debris to cause eye
injury. Always wear safety glasses or
goggles when operating equipment.
Everyday glasses or reading glasses
only have impact resistant lenses, they
are not safety glasses. Be certain the
safety glasses you wear meet the
appropriate standards of the American
National Standards Institute (ANSI).
Damaged wheels can break under normal
use, creating a dangerous situation that
could cause serious injury. If the integrity
of a wheel is in question, always replace
with a new one.
Do not apply excessive pressure to the
grinder while cutting, as breakage of the
wheel could occur. If the grinder begins to
stall, decrease pressure immediately. If the
wheel stops abruptly, turn the grinder off
immediately.
Always use wheel guard. The wheel guard
is an important part of the grinder. Do not
operate the grinder if the wheel guard has
been removed. Do not modify the wheel
guard or make the opening more than
180°.
